Key Highlights

• State Funding for Lake Street:
  In 2023, the State of Minnesota appropriated $8 million to the City of Minneapolis to support the economic health and vitality of the Lake Street Corridor.

• Graves Foundation Leadership:
  On October 31, 2024, the Graves Foundation was selected to administer this funding, and Lake Street Lift officially launched on November 1, 2024.

• Designated Geography:
  The project focuses on East Lake Street, spanning from Nicollet Avenue to 30th Avenue South, and will run through June 30, 2025.

• Impact Goals:
  This funding aims to create a more vibrant, safe, and growing Lake Street, celebrating the diverse communities that call this area home.
